Agfa Memo
The Agfa Memo () was a horizontally styled folding bed camera for 24x36cm exposures on 35mm Agfa Karat cassettes (no longer available). It has a rapid advance lever on the back, and was made by Agfa Ansco in the USA. Often overlooked as an American camera because of its Agfa name (see, even I have it in "My German Cameras"), it was made in Binghampton, New York). It was made in both full- and half-frame versions, and was available with or without a flash shoe (mount only, not hot), and came with either an Agfa Memar f/, or lens.

Lastly . .
Despite our cons, America, I think, is a great country. But as a great country, it’s prone to have great problems. I have a lot of friends who intend to leave the States for places like the UK or Canada out of spite of what America has become. I think that’s wrong. In my view, America is my country, and if it’s broke, it’s my duty to fix it, not run away. Our country changes constantly, sometimes for the best, sometimes, as recently seen, for the absolute worst. But there’s always the next generation to change that. I see a lotta political motivation in the American younth today (maybe I’m seeing things), but I don’t doubt America’s ability to change for the better. It’s just people.

Ikontas were also provided with a range of shutters, the simplest being a three-speed Klio on early models. Other shutters may include the Vario (3-speed, B), Pronto (4-speed, T&B), Prontor-S, SV, SVS (8-speed, ), Compur (8 speeds, T&B), Compur Rapid (9-speed, T&B), and Synchro-Compur 1-MX (9 speeds, B), and Synchro Compur (10-speed, B). Super Ikonta cameras were always equipped with the best shutter available for the given period of manufacture. Therefore, early cameras had the Compur Rapid, while later cameras had the Synchro-Compur 1-MX (green lever to set flash from M to X), or Synchro-Compur shutters. In contrast to this, the end customer could order a Super Ikonta with either a Tessar lens (4 elements) or a Novar (3 elements), but it was still mounted in the expensive shutter.
